Offer your skills, experience and interests to help organize this ODC project
Identify people interested in the distribution or sales of digital geographic information to participate in the Open Data Consortium project.
Participate in the series of telephone conference workgroups to discuss and come to consensus on the pertinent data distribution issues.

Initial funding of the ODC organizing activities are coming from a USGS startup grant and private sponsorship donations. Ongoing operations on the ODC organization will come from subscription membership of public agencies and private enterprises. Private sector data distributors and local governments are being solicited for subscription contributions, and financial commitments from early sponsors are starting to come in!
Please note: Financial contributions are optional. Participants do not have to pay, however, your support is gratefully accepted.
Your support of the ODC project assures it's successful completion in creating and promoting a model data distribution policy which will benefit public agencies, citizens, the Federal government, and data resellers.
